KAICIID Fellow 2015

KAICIID Fellows2015-16

In 2015 I was invited to become a King Abudullah or KAICIID Fellow at KAICIID in Vienna. The fellowship was with 20 other teachers and academics from around the world working in the area of inter-religious or inter-cultural dialogue.

The first part of the course was in Vienna and was followed up by a session in Kuala Lumpur.

As a fellow, I was invited to address a session of the Salzburg Global Seminar on Youth and Violence (see report below).

KAICIID is an inter-governmental organisation founded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Vatican, Spain and Austria

KAICIID has helped us develop new local projects. I have worked with a number of partners in Surrey to develop the Surrey Fellows to train newly ordained clerics, seminarians and religious educators in inter religious dialogue. The programme will focus on understanding each others faiths, theories of Inter Religious Dialogue and practical examples of IRD in action. The project will encourage and mentor participants from different faiths in developing projects community development and social action projects together.
